2021 was the fifth Little Cinema & Galway City of Film 48 Hour Challenge, and it was the second Challenge to take place virtually, during Lockdown. Teams again took part remotely around the country.
The Best Film Award went to Hardback Films & Co, with their film Whale Fall, captained by Katie McNiece.
